Coconut: it's in just about everything...
If you're struggling with a coconut sensitivity or allergy, you might be surprised to find that coconut derivatives are hiding in just about every hair & skin product on the market.
Our founder, Marion, started keeping a list of ingredients in store-bought products she found that were coconut based when she started making soap for her daughter who had a coconut allergy. She hopes it will help you know what to look for when buying bath and body products.
Here's a list of possible coconut-based derivatives to look for when reading product labels:
Note: many of these ingredients can be coconut-derived, but some of them can be derived from other sources like palm.

My daughter has a coconut and coconut oil allergy. We figured it out because of a nightly vitamin that we were taking. It explained so much once we started cutting out everything we possibly could. I didn’t realize how many things have coconut oil or have a derivative. It’s in everything. Finding this company has been a godsend and a peace of mind that she is able to wash her hair and body without having a reaction. There has been many products that I have gone through as recommended from people or even ChatGPT that still end-up with some derivative in it. I was luckily to stumble upon this site. My daughter absolutely loves the products. She has curly hair, and I do wish there was a curly hair gel or cream. I love though that it seems like new products show up each time we come to the site, allowing us to purchase more products that are safe for her.
I have been miserable! My coconut allergy worsened suddenly and I had a series of allergic reactions due to a new facial moisturizer. A friend introduced me to chat gbt to help figure out what I should be avoiding. Long story short, almost everything. but… when I looked into what is acceptable for a coconut allergy, I found out that the list was barely minimal. However I found out about this shop as a rare coconut free company with products that can work for my annoying allergy. I ordered the orange shampoo and conditioner and a oatmeal body soap. Okay dramatic statements but on my first shampoo and conditioner I thought, holy S***
is this honestly what people with out allergies feel when they wash there hair!? im used to burning, stinging, tightness, and yuck. I hated it without knowing I hated it. But seriously this stuff smells amazing, lathers beautifully, and im not mad at the results. (did i mention that I currently hold a Cosmotolgy license in Wisconsin?) If your a rare coconut intolerant like myself, trust me, this product is worth it!!
I’m very happy to find out about your products coconut free! I found someone in this world who, like me, is the mother of a child with a severe coconut allergy—and who therefore truly understands the issue and the arduous search for coconut-free products.
